RESTAURANT IDENTITY SUITE

In this project I was asked to make several restaurant labels, and combined them together to make a business mechanical. I had to make an envelope (the one in the middle), a business card, (the little one on the right), and a sheet of paper for the business(the one in the back ground). I also took my favorite logo from my other restaurant logo project and put it on there. All the other information was provided to me.

HANDSOME GUY; FAMILY; CREW

In this project, i used many different steps. To begin with i doubled up the picture and named one of them "before" and one of them "after". Then i locked the "before" layer and made sure i was clicked in the "after" layer and became my transformation. In the first picture called "handsome guy" i had to edit out all the guys zits and marks on his face using the healing and cloning tool and made his teeth whiter. In the second picture called "family" I had to take out all the dusk and scratches in the picture and remove the old looking trap at the top and the bottom of the picture. Then in the last picture called "crew", the first change I made was by taking out the little piece of land in the corner of the picture by using the clone tool. Then I used the history healing tool to get rid of the extra wave and wrinkle above the boat. Then I used the clone tool again to clone out the little piece of the boat in the top right hand corner. Finally i typed the word "crew" with the horizontal type mask tool and changed the FX of the font and made it stand out and look cool.

ZOO POST CARD

In this project, a couple of things that i learned a lot about measurements and there sizes, and how to scale a picture down to a smaller size. Every box in this postcard had to be measured to exact size so that they all line up. I also had to learn how to arrange the pictures from front to back so that i could send the black boxes to the back of the picture of the animal.

TENSION SCALE

The main purpose of this project was to learn how to make art out of one word. For example i used the words tension and playful, along with a few others and in the box i messed around with different fonts and sizes and i stretched the letters out to make a scene that describes the words i used.

SODA LABEL

In this project, I had to make up my own soda bottle name and label. I used a lot of masking and cropping on this project. I also had to make up my own nutrition facts label. First i went on google and got an idea on what a nutrition facts label looks like, then I just started from scratch and made ever individual line and calculated the percentages about all the ingredients and I was done. The last thing I had to do was make up a catchy slogan that went with my tittle.

MRS LOGO

In this project, I was asked to redesign a logo for a current business called "Metal Related Services." I was given there original logo and was asked to change up the whole thing because the owner was sick of the original. Since it was for a metal shop i figured everything must be bold looking, so i made sure i picked a black bold font and just made it very different but very new.

MELODY OF WORDS

In this project, I was asked to design a picture for a school function. I was asked to make it look kind of childish, fun and welcoming. Since it was for a school event i decided to use things that relate to school like books and apples. Since the tittle was "Melody of Words" i added in some music notes because that was the theme.

KILLER BEE BOOKMARK

In this project, I was told to create a bookmark geared to middle school kids. I was assigned different black and white bees and had to mask and crop them onto my bookmark. Then I had to fill it in with color and give the bookmark a background using the "gradient tool".

COMMODITIES

In this project I had to make 9 boxes and fill them in with all different colors and pictures that relate to some of my favorite things. I made every box a different and bright color so that it stood out and got peoples attention. I also had to crop the pictures out of their original picture so that i do not get the background in it by using the "wand tool." The last thing we had to do was find two fonts that went well together so we could make a heading and a subheading.

CD COVER

In this project, I was asked to design my very own CD cover, front and back. I was aloud to pick any subject that I wanted. For example I was aloud to pick if I wanted to make it a movie, an album, a show, etc. Since Usher is my favorite singer, i decided to make a CD cover for his CD and i used his songs. I was asked to use three pictures for both font and back. I of my pictures is my background and the other two are of him. I used masked tool to get rid of their background and i turned the transparency down to make the pictures have that see threw look. I also used to gradient tool for the font cover, to make it half black and half white.

COLOR PREDICTIONS

In this project, I was given an option of four colors, and had to pick just one to work with. I was taught how to make flowers and different shaped like spirals and we needed to include them in our fliers to make up a flowery design.

HAITI

In this project, I was asked to make a poster for the Haiti Relief program. Not only did i have to use at least two pictures from the internet, i had to learn how to mask them and put them onto the poster to make them fit. I had to pick where to place my writing and make it so it stands out and catches everyones eye.
